If no candidate wins an absolute majority, the runoff is on Sunday, May 2.
The French Government set the second round for Sunday, May 2, 2027 at the Council of Ministers of July 1, 2026, between the two leading candidates if nobody wins an absolute majority in the first round. Some overseas territories vote on Saturday, May 1. The countdown uses the day only.
